O ventre desta "Guitarra Makaka - Danças a um Deus Desconhecido ” é uma ilha imaginária por descobrir. O segundo álbum a solo do mítico guitarrista português Tó Trips é, no seguimento do primeiro “Guitarra 66”, uma viagem inacabada em que o princípio que ficou para trás anuncia um presente nunca ouvido e magnificente. A ilha de que nos fala o Tó bem poderia ser esta, a nossa subtropical e multi-cultural São Miguel, terra de vulcões e sumptuosos verdes, onde a materialidade implacável da natureza suplanta as leis do homem. Esta música intimista e contemplativa não tem tempo nem lugar definido. Deambula ao sabor do mago e da guitarra, que parece ter vida e vontade própria. Sobejamente conhecido como membro dos Dead Combo, este homem, senhor de muitos naipes marcantes da nossa música contemporânea, voltará a subir ao palco do Arco 8 sete anos depois da sua primeira performance, para encenar, em noite de lua cheia, mais uma experiência sonora deveras memorável.
Enquadrado pelo magnifico Festival Walk & Talk e ladeado pela bela “Obscénica” de André da Loba, a noite culminará no dance floor com o nosso esplêndido Flip.

The womb of the "Makaka Guitar - Dances for an Unknown God" is an undiscovered imaginary island. The second solo album of this mythical Portuguese guitarist is - much like his "Guitar 66" - an unfinished voyage in which the beginning that was left behind announces an unheard and magnificent present. The island that Tó talks about could well be our subtropical and multicultural São Miguel, land of volcanoes and sumptuous greens, where the implacable materiality of nature supplants the laws of men. This intimate and contemplative music does not have a time or a place. It rambles in accordance with the intentions of the wizard that animates it but it has its own will and life. Widely known as a member of Dead Combo, Tó Trips created many of the most remarkable tunes of contemporary Portuguese music. He returns to the stage of Arco 8 seven years after his first performance to enact, in a night of full moon, another truly memorable musical experience.
With the magnificent Walk&Talk Festival and André da Loba "Obscénica" as a backdrop, the evening shall reach its zenith in the dance floor with our splendid Flip.
